MAUBAN, Quezon - Strengthening frontline services across Mauban, the municipal government has expanded the operational capacity of its veterinary and engineering offices with additional vehicles for field work. These units are intended to support animal-health outreach, stray-dog control, infrastructure maintenance and other municipal operations in communities across the town.

Mayor Erwin Dwight C. Pastrana led the blessing and formal turnover of a specialized vehicle to the Municipal Veterinarian Office and two mini dump trucks to the Municipal Engineering Office. The veterinary vehicle is designed for collecting and safely transporting stray dogs, while the dump trucks will support hauling, maintenance and other engineering work.



Beyond their immediate assignments, the additional vehicles give both municipal offices greater mobility to bring services directly to barangays and respond to field requirements. Veterinary personnel can extend animal-health programs to outlying communities, while engineering crews gain additional hauling capacity for infrastructure-related operations throughout Mauban.

Municipal Veterinarian Dr. Renee Anselmo Villaflor said the vehicle would allow the office to expand its work beyond stray-dog collection and impounding. He said the added mobility would also help veterinary personnel bring animal-health services to barangays farther from the town center.

“Ito pong unit na ito maaari rin po natin itong mapakinabangan sa pagdadala ng ating mga serbisyo sa ating nasasakupan, lalo na sa mga kanayunan, partikular ang ating mga veterinary medical mission, kapon at ligate sa mga alagang aso’t pusa, na dinadala natin sa mga malalayong barangay ng ating munisipalidad,” Villaflor said.

The two mini dump trucks, meanwhile, will be used for hauling materials and supporting maintenance and other engineering work across the municipality. Their deployment gives municipal crews additional equipment for infrastructure-related operations in different barangays.

Pastrana said the vehicles form part of the municipality’s effort to improve the delivery of basic services. He also underscored the need to equip frontline offices with resources that can improve their response to community needs.

“Ang mga bagong sasakyan at service pong ito ay mahalagang dagdag-kagamitan upang higit nating mapalakas at mapabilis ang paghahatid ng mga pangunahing serbisyo sa ating mga kababayang Maubanin,” Pastrana said.

The acquisition expands Mauban’s available equipment for engineering operations while giving veterinary personnel dedicated transport for animal-control and outreach activities. With the additional vehicles, both offices can respond more efficiently to field requirements and extend municipal services to communities across the town.
