#ImpeachLeni trends and supporters of President Duterte gathered Sunday in front of Vice President Leni Robredo’s head office in Quezon City and calling for her impeachment or resignation, this shift occurred soon after Vice President Leni Robedo criticized President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs in a message to the United Nations (UN).

The Philippine government’s top lawyer, Solicitor General Jose Calida has also express his disdain for VP’s “bad move” on his twitter account.

“In the event that @speakeralvarez will initiate the impeachment of the VP, my office will gladly lend its services to such endeavor,” Calida said in a tweet using his Twitter account, @SolGenCalida.

However the Liberal Party (LP) on Saturday said accusations linking Vice President Leni Robredo to moves to undermine the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte are baseless, orchestrated lies that only harm the country.

According to LP president Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan reminded that the President himself last week declared that Robredo had nothing to do with what he called “destabilization efforts” against him. Pangilinan observed that this seems to be part of an orchestrated effort to spread lies: from the so-called NagaLeaks to accusations of destabilization.

“Ganito rin ang ginawa nila kay Leila: sinisiraan ng mga paratang na walang basehan sa katotohanan (It is the same thing they did to Leila: demonize and vilify with baseless accusations),” he said, referring to the President’s critic Sen. Leila De Lima, who is now detained over alleged drug charges.

“They should stop destabilizing the administration and focus instead on the gargantuan tasks of delivering on its campaign promises such as end ‘endo’ and create jobs, finish the traffic nightmare and ease commuters’ lives, and stop corruption and move the country forward, among others,” the LP president added.

Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan’s harsh statement was taken me aback. Are Leila de Lima and Vice President Leni Robredo have all been a victim of aggression in one form or another? People know the real truth. And we all know that such beings do make the biggest hypocrites around.

On the other hand, LP secretary-general Rep. Kit Belmonte said Vice President Robredo is not and will not be part of any destabilization moves. Not and will not be part of any destabilization moves?

The principles does regulate her behavior. As the Vice President you should think thousand before bad mouthing or spilling something out of your mouth, considering the consequences or potential consequences of how it may affect the country or how the country be perceived by other country.

The attack on Robredo was the result of her video message to the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs, in which she talked about the victims of the administration’s brutal campaign against illegal drugs. She had been bad mouthing the country eversince. So is she being demonize and vilify with baseless accusations? What’ve you being doing Vice President? Even the sister of the late Senator Mirriam Defensor Santiago condemned Robredo.

Robredo has been a vocal critic of Duterte’s was on drugs but is her impulsive action typical or she really want to be putting herself out there or is this just a conspiracy behind conspiracy. She even denied reports of her being involved on Duterte’s impeachment scheme.

Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella said “If it is not her personal intent, she may have played into the hands of those who wish to use her as a political animal. Either way it is a pathetic state of affairs for her,”

It’s the country that’s being demonized! It’s the government officials driven by greed and the desire for power and money that’s damaging our country right now.
