Three (3) alleged drug pushers carrying two-hundred-thousand-worth suspected shabu were arrested by the Pagbilao Municipal Police Station (PMPS) on the early morning of April 10, 2017 at Berana Compound, Brgy. Bukal.

The said suspects, riding on a Mitsubishi Adventure with plate number CRF 542, were arrested by the PMPS through a buy bust operation conducted at 4 in the morning of April 10. The non-Pagbilao resident suspects are believed to be delivering and distributing illegal drugs in the Municipality.

Recovered from the suspects are twenty-three (23) pieces of small sachets containing speculated methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu”, weighing more or less 117 grams, and with an estimated amount of two-hundred ten thousand and six-hundred pesos (Php 210,600.00). Also retrieved are boodle money of different denominations, two (2) pouch bags, and one (1) white pillow.

At approximately 9 in the morning, Police Chief Inspector Rizaldy Merene, PMPS head, and Pagbilao Mayor Shierre Ann Portes-Palicpic met with Police Senior Superintendent Rhoderick Armamento, Provincial Director of Quezon PNP, to discuss the concern.

“Itong ganitong kaliit na pakete, marami na ‘tong pwedeng maapektuhan… high na sila dito,” said PS/Supt. Armamento.

The said newly-identified drug personalities were brought to the custodial facility of the PMPS for proper disposition and documentation, and were informed of their constitutional rights as stated in Republic Act 7438 or An Act Defining Certain Rights of Person Arrested, Detained or Under Custodial Investigation as well as the Duties of the Arresting, Detaining and Investigating Officers, and Providing Penalties for Violations Thereof.

Meanwhile, Mayor Palicpic congratulated the Pagbilao Municipal Police Station, as well as everyone who helped, for yet another feat against illegal drugs.

“Nagpapasalamat ako sa ating mga pulis, lahat ng mga tumulong, mga barangay officials (ng Brgy. Bukal), lalo’t higit kay Hepe Rizaldy Merene sa nangyaring pagtutulungan,” stated Mayor Palicpic.
