Taipei, Taiwan - Another feather in the cap! A glorious milestone for the Quezon’s First 1000 Days of Life Program as it became one of the finalists for the Poster Presentation Category on Innovations in delivery of healthcare and hospital services during the 2017 IHF Taipei 41st World Hospital Congress with the theme “Patient-Friendly and Smarter Healthcare” held at Taipei, Taiwan, November 7-9, 2017.

The IHF World Hospital Congress is a unique global forum and knowledge hub for hospitals where multidisciplinary exchange of knowledge, expertise and experiences in health sector management and service delivery is facilitated. This forum brought together leaders, gurus, delegates and participants conversant in healthcare policies and management practices to engage in a constructive dialogue on best practices and innovations in hospital and healthcare management and leadership aimed at improving the overall health and wellness of communities.

Participated by 850 delegates from all over the globe, the attendees took part in parallel sessions on ten different topics and interacted with their peers at social events during the three-day event. A total of 189 poster presenters proffered various case studies about implemented new technologies, policies and programs from their respective organizations. The parallel sessions are hosted by countries, members of the International Hospital Federation, which served as an opportunity to share their industry experience.

Meanwhile, the said congress was attended by the Program Management Officer of the Q1K program, Dr. Grace V. Santiago and General Secretariat, Ma. Christina T. Lopez.

Quezon province, being the first province in the country to implement a comprehensive program primarily designed to fill the openings on the implementation of national and provincial programs on maternal and child care, immunization, nutrition and sanitation, has been continuing its endeavor to become a globally competitive province when it comes to providing its constituents optimal health care services and interventions during the phases of the first 1000 days of life.
