LUCENA CITY, Quezon -- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA-Quezon) has successfully accomplished six activities last February 2018 in the province of Quezon in line with the 2018 civil registration month celebration.
According to provincial statistics officer Airene Pucyutan, among the activities conducted by the PSA-Quezon were civil registration quiz, on the spot poster making contest, slogan writing contest, seminar/ lecture on civil registration and radio guestings.
The celebration begun on February 9, 2018 through a motorcade which was participated in by the PSA employees, local civil registrars and staff and PSA stakeholders. The motorcade started in Lucena City and ended in Tayabas City.
The winners of the civil registration quiz are as follows: Ma. Rebecca T. Bautista of Tagkawayan Quezon LCRO who was declared champion; Sherry Ann A. Natividad of General Nakar, Quezon and Aaron A. Alcantara of Candelaria, Quezon who were declared 2nd and 3rd placers respectively.
The winners also received cash prizes of P3,000.00; P2,500.00 and P2,000.00 respectively and certificates of recognition from the PSA-Quezon.
Meanwhile, the winners of the civil registration slogan writing contest was also announced during the program. Adjudged winning slogan ‘Kinabukasa’y Isipin, Napapanahong CRVS, Paunlarin, katuwang sa Pag-unlad ng Lipunan Natin’ was the entry of the local civil registrar office (LCRO) of Padre Burgos. The 2nd and 3rd placers were the the LCROs of Unisan and Lucban respectively.
