LUCENA CITY - National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents arrested on Wednesday a businessman who has been wanted for violating Anti- Trafficking of Persons Act at Brgy. Daungan, Mauban, Quezon.

Former Barangay Captain Rogelio Ramos, 46, of Brgy. Calumpang, Tayabas City and owner of Tadlik Spa did not resist when arrested inside a resto- bar, said NBI- Quezon chief Dominador Villanueva.

Armed with an arrest order issued by Lucena City Regional Trial Court, Branch 53 Judge Dennis Orendain, Villanueva said Ramos was accosted by his men led by Special Investigator III Raul Tepace at around 4:00 p.m.

Ramos was taken to NBI-Quezon office pending the issuance of commitment order from the court.

Tepace said the Ramos’ co- accused, Kevin Roque has already been arrested and now detained at Quezon BJMP District Jail.

No bail was recommended for both of them.

Quoting NBI records, Villanueva recalled that on December 6, 2018, they raided the Tadlik Spa at Brgy. Calumpang, Tayabas City after they confirmed reports that its male and female masseuses offer “extra service” to their custumers.

The raid had resulted in the arrest of Roque and a male customer and rescue of four masseuses.
