Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) chief
Nicanor Faeldon

According to a Bureau of Customs (BOC) employee, that Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) chief Nicanor Faeldon was setup to fail by the decades long corrupt system established by criminals. That a beehive of corrupt officials are also setting him up at BuCOR. But the way they bring up this issue is also fishy somehow. As if there is something bigger is happening that need to be covered up by some 'people' which always happen.

Faeldon admitted to meeting with the family of convicted murderer and rapist Antonio Sanchez in July, a month before the supposed release order for the former Calauan, Laguna mayor was signed. He admitted signing document which started Sanchez release process. He even admitted release of 3 convicts in Chiong sisters’ rape-slay and that he did not seek approval from the Department of Justice (DOJ) in releasing heinous crime convicts because he was not aware of a department order that required it.

If Faeldon is guilty, the President should fire his sorry a** and file criminal charges against him. But President Rodrigo Duterte is not thinking of firing BuCor chief Nicanor Faeldon and other officials of the national penitentiary yet. Why?

As I am writing this column, Senator Manny Pacquiao urged embattled BuCor chief Nicanor Faeldon to temporarily step down to spare President Rodrigo Duterte from the controversies and corruption allegations surrounding him. Pacquiao also dispelled the observation of several senators that there is a "GCTA-for-sale" in BuCor, that prioritizes the early release of rich convicts. GCTA or Good Conduct Time Allowance.

Nicanor Faeldon’s resignation is necessary, but it is not enough. We must also question his superior. Why is Duterte standing by a man who is a clear source of mischief? And why, despite his dark record at the Customs, was he appointed to BuCor in the first place?

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte got irked by reports that four convicted Chinese drug lords were freed under the leadership of Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Nicanor Faeldon last June. Mayor Duterte stressed that Malacañang can fire Faeldon or ask him to resign if proven that he cannot justify the release of Chan Chit Yue, Kin San Ho, Ching Che, and Wu Hing Sum—which were among those 816 heinous crime convicts released since the former Customs Commissioner took the helm of Bucor in November 2018.

On the other hand Sen. Panfilo Lacson on Tuesday said he believes Faeldon was lying about his actions involving the release order for rapist-slay convict Antonio Sanchez.

Funny how Palace still try to twist and spin reality by pointing all the blame on others on the mess brought about the incompetence, corruption and monstrous desire of no less than Duterte’s men himself re: GCTA mess. Faeldon, Panelo, Imelda, ER Ejercito- Isn’t it obvious?

This old man never gets tired of this blame game., why not accept the fact that you're clueless rather than blaming the past administration. How can a government after 3 years blame past administration for its failure? Why do we always blame past administrations when we already voted them out for a new administration to correct those past mistakes? Since you know you can't fixed this Nation, why did you take up the mandate?

GCTA should be amended and unfortunately if Faeldon really signed the release of this big time criminals just please resign.
