At around 2AM on December 27, 2019 an incumbent barangay kagawad of Datu Esmael, Pacalinog Rasul y Bolo, 52 years old , was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted at Barangay Datu Esmael by Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO)-Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) of Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Dasmarinas City Police Station (DCPS)-City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Cavite. Along with Pacalinog was Barangay Tanod Taratingan Ala y Rasamala, 63 years old.

Confiscated during the operation were one (1) piece of heat sealed plastic sachets and five (5 ) pieces of knot tied plastic bag containing white crystalline substance suspected as ‘shabu,’ weighing 500 grams and with an estimated market value of P3.4 Million Pesos. Ten (10) pieces of One Hundred Peso bill used as the buy-bust money were also recovered at the scene, as well as one (1) pistol caliber 45 with SN # 454391. All these recovered materials were surrendered to Dasmariñas City Police for proper disposition and use as evidence for investigation. The arrested suspects are brought to DCPS and they are facing charges of violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
