LUCENA CITY - After a year of waiting, a newly-built building complete with equipment was finally turned- over by the city government to its police force to serve as its new “home”!

City Mayor Roderick Alcala led the formal turn-over of the P30 Million 2- storey building with 930.962 square meter- floor area to Calabarzon police ditrector, Brig. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr., Quezon police director Col. Audie Madrideo and city police director Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea.

Constructed through local funds with authority from Sangguniang Panlunsod led by Vice- Mayor Philip Castillo, the building is also furnished with necessary office equipment.

“The foundation of this new building may stand the test of time, but remember that it can never be stronger than our partnership for the service of our people”, said Alcala in his speech.

The three termer mayor assured the police officials that the city government under his leadership will continue to extend all necessary assistance to the city police in order to strenthen its force against criminality and to be more effective in the maintainance of peace and order.

“Our beloved city keeps on gaining progress and development because of peace and security that our people and those in the business sector are enjoying over the years. We owe this to Lucena police force”, Alcala said.

He said the building that the city government has provided is only a gesture of showing gratefulness and appreciation to the city police force for its dedication in serving the people of Lucena.

“This is also a symbol of our deep support to President Rodrigo Duterte’s advocacy to assure peace and order, public safety and law enforcement”, the mayor said.

In his message, Gen. Danao thanked Alcala for his continuing support to the police and his effort to provide a convenient office- building and equipment to the force.

“When I assumed as director of Manila Police District, the first thing that I requested from Mayor Isko was structures for my police stations. This Class A building, complete with office equipment is a great gift to Lucena City police. Salamat po mayor”, said Danao.

Danao asked the personnel of the city police force to reciprocate the good deeds of the mayor by providing good service and utmost care to the people of Lucena.
