LUCENA CITY - Police operatives yesterday arrested a rapper belonging in the regional drugs watchlist after he was caught red- handed with Marijuana during a drug buy- bust at Carmelite lane, Brgy. 11, here.
Quezon police director, Col. Audie Madrideo said Kristoffer Manlangit, 34, rapper and resident of Josephine Subd., Brgy Gulang-Gulang, is listed number 6 in the Regional Watchlist of Drug Personalities of Calabarzon region.
Madrideo said Manlangit was collared by joint elements of City and Provincial Grug Enforcement Units and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)- Quezon under overall supervision of Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea, the city police chief.
During the operation, Albacea said Manlangit yielded 8 transparent plastic bag containing dried marijuana leaves with approximate weight of 37 grams with DDB value of Php 4,440, and 2 marked P500 bills.
He said the accounting of confiscated evidence was witnessed by barangay officials and a media representative.
On Friday, Albacea reported the seizure of 16 large zip- locked sachets containing around 502 grams of marijuana leaves worth P60, 240 from John Marin, 21, son of a retired policeman, at Brgy. Iyam.
