LUCENA CITY - As part of its commitment to continuously assist the government in dealing with coronavirus desease (COVID-19) pandemic, the San Miguel corporation donated P.5 Million worth of emergency quarantine facilities at the Armed Forces' Southern Luzon Command (Solcom) grounds in Camp Guillermo Nakar, here, this morning.
The formal turn- over of the 14- bed capacity Emergency Quarantine Facilities (EQF) was led by retired Maj. Gen. Ivan Samarita, the area security consultant for Soutbern Luzon of San Miguel Corporation and Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr., commander of Solcom.
In his message, Parlade expressed his gratitude to the corporation for including the Solcom Camp among the 10 military camps that were given EQF.
He also thank Samarita who was formerly assigned as commander of the Army's 202nd Infantry Brigade based in Rizal, Laguna under the command of Solcom.
"We appreciate and we thank the continuing goodness of SMC and Gen. Samarita for our people and frontliners. This is something that really meant a lot. Thank you", said Parlade.
