Santiago said all the 6 patients, 3 males and 3 famales aged 47, 51, 5, 55, 7 and 2, have not been tested before they died.

As to what took them long in reporting the death of 6 patients, the IPHO chief explained that the delay was due to several reasons and one of them was the process of collecting and gathering of data by their surveillance officers that usually takes time.

"There are parameters before a patient who died can be classified as confirmed, suspected or probable case, that's why our health personnel are very careful", said Santiago.

In its 12:00 noon bulletin, the QPIO announced that Quezon has 85 confirmed COVID-19 patients, 66 recoveries and 8 deaths.

It said the latest infected patient was traced in this city, now with 31 cases. But 29 of them have already recovered.

The remaining 11 carriers of the virus in the province are still confined and recuperating in different medical facilities.

As to the suspected COVID-19 cases, Quezon has 1,121.

Of the figures 620 were already cleared after doing home quarantine, 375 have been discharged from hospitals, 52 on home quarantine, 46 are still confined while 28 have died.
