Imus City, Cavite  - The local government here announced the granting of financial aid to qualified beneficiaries of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) but was not included in the payout distribution.

To address the problem, Mayor Maliksi established the Imus Grievance and Redress Committee Hotline number that focused on the complaints of the affected Imuseños with thousands of beneficiaries that turned out from this service.

Thus, the city government came up with their financial subsidy programs: the Imus Expanded SAP amounting to Php6,500.00 cash aid to be given to eligible household qualified under the DSWD SAP national program but were not included in the payout, and the Lingap Imuseño Assistance program amounting to Php2,000.00 to be given to all eligible household that were not qualified under the programs of the DSWD like the SAP, 4Ps, Senior Citizen pension; Imus Extended SAP; DOLE TUPAD, CAMP and all other financial aid of any other agencies under the national government.

Mayor Maliksi was grateful for the combined efforts of the employees of the City Social Welfare and Development Office, City Treasurer's Office, Liga ng mga Barangay, and other volunteer personnel from the different offices of the city government who tirelessly evaluated and processed the applications of said beneficiaries.

He proudly said, "Ulanin man ng batikos, buo ang loob ng bawat isa na manatili sa pagseserbisyo, umulan man o umaraw, umagahin man at dilimin, hindi alintana ang pagod at panganib sa kalusugan ng bawat isa makapaglingkod lamang. Maraming salamat sa inyo."

(No matter what they say, everyone is determined to stay in the service, whether it rains or shine, whether it be sunny or dark, regardless of the fatigue and danger to the health of each individual. Thank you very much.)

The city government will announce the distribution schedule soon on its official Facebook page and on Mayor Maliksi's FB account. (Ruel Francisco, PIA-Cavite with reports from Mayor Maliksi FB page)
