Rizal prepares supporting local business for the new normal amid COVID 19
DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez discusses agency programs for Network News Briefing with PCOO Secretary Marting Andanar, Rizal Acting Governor Reynaldo "Junrey" San Juan Jr. and Antipolo City Mayor Andrea Ynares.

RIZAL, Philippines - The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon Lopez said the agency has programs for Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to re-operate under the "New Normal Philippines".

Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar explained this in the Network Briefing News program on May 29 with Rizal Acting Governor Reynaldo "Junrey" San Juan Jr. and Antipolo City Mayor Andrea Ynares.

This is in response to support local small business for the new normal after COVID 19 in Rizal affected by Coronavirus Disease 19 (COVID 19) in the Philippines.

"Makakahiram po ang mga micro-entrepreneurs and small business owner from P10,000 to P200,000 kapag micro P 10,000 to P 500,000 kung small-sized enterprises," said Sec. Lopez.

He said he can apply online for this on the website of Small Business Corporation, so he doesn't have to go to his office.

Traders also have two years to pay back a microfinance loan at an interest rate of 6 percent per year or 0.5 percent per month with a grace period of six months before the start of the principal payment.

"Iyon pong isa pang serbisyo ay ang Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay ay nakakapagbigay tayo ng mga livelihood kits o packages para doon sa mga maguumpisa pa lamang," said Sec. Lopez.

Congress is now working on the possibility of extra funding these programs.

The Province of Rizal continues to set up guidelines of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases as part of the "New Normal" to track compliance with quarantine orders and travel restrictions.

"Nagkaroon po tayo ng pagpupulong with the 13 mayors ng municipalities and 1 city ng ating lalawigan and during the meeting pinagusapan natin kung paano uniformly mapapatupad ang mga guidelines na sinet ng ating IATF," said Acting Governor San Juan.
He also added that the IATF would not enact more guidelines and policies in the province and the LGUs under it.

Mayor Ynares reminded the people of Antipolo City to follow the strict implementation of the new normal guidelines.

"We also encourage digital payments, cashless transactions, and strict implementation of least public health standards," said Mayor Ynares.

The Mayor also urged citizens not to leave their homes for non-essential walks to protect their families, especially those in vulnerable sectors, such as children and senior citizens.
