CALAMBA CITY, Laguna - The Presidential Communication Operations Office (PCOO) continues to operate under Secretary Martin Andanar's leadership as part of the 'Balik-Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa Program,' which aimed to provide a great opportunity for Filipino workers who wish to return to work in the province.

On June 13, Communications Secretary Martin Andanar traveled to Batangas Province to locate jobs that could provide a better opportunity for workers affected by the current pandemic.

Secretary Andanar first went with some agency staff and other members of the Philippine Information Agency IV-A (PIA 4A) under the direction of Regional Director Ma. Cristina C. Arzadon at a dairy farm in Lipa City run by Batangas Dairy Cooperative (BADACO) that produces basic products like fresh milk, choco milk, and flavored yogurt.

The operation of the BADACO dairy farm began in 2012 and continues to the present day as the dairy farm is one of the most visible opportunities in the province of Batangas, and some citizens interested in raising cattle and wanting to start dairy farming are welcome.

Interested individuals will receive free training from BADACO dairy farms so that those wishing to enter the dairy farming industry will have the necessary knowledge and skills.

In this regard, Sec. Andanar went to Lipa City, City Hall to speak personally with media practitioners from Batangas Province among the frontliners who are one of the most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, as one of Sec. Andanar's advocates are to help the media industry, especially small stations that have been forced to cease operations and shut down due to the COVID 19 threat.

"Ito ay kaunting tulong mula sa puso para sa ating mga kasamahan para maiparating na hindi namin kayo nakakalimutan," Sec. Andanar said.

PCOO and PIA team also visit Batangas State University Knowledge Innovation, and Science Technology Park - LIKHA FABLAB where BSU is one of 12 new economic zones recently approved by President Rodrigo Duterte to open as an industrial park.

Similar to the BADACO dairy farm, there are also opportunities waiting to be opened for unemployed workers who can start with training from LIKHA FABLAB.

On the other hand, the Duterte government's Balik-Probinsya, Bagong Pag-Asa Program is a way or another that aims to provide good opportunities and to encourage workers to return to the province to make a living and also to decongest Metro Manila.
