BATANGAS CITY - The Batangas City government road clearing operation scored 48 points in the validation conducted by the Department of Local Government (DILG) validation team from Taal town, February 24.

The visit was led by Municipal Local Government Operations and Chairperson Francia Temple along with Taal Chief of Police PMAJ Rheden Manalo, BFP Chief Norman Signo, and other representatives from the concerned agency.

The city's score was reduced by two points from a perfect score of 50 points due to the sighting of two illegally parked vehicles on the sidewalks of the team.

According to the DILG road clearing guidelines, every vehicle parked on the street will be minus one point in the score. The team circled around 10 city and barangay roads with a length of 11.73 kilometers still in accordance with the guidelines.

The validation team praised the smooth flow of traffic and the cleanliness of the city.

According to the group, the support of the local government in this mandate of the national government is smooth and obvious.

The monitoring also includes the Batangas City Road Clearing Committee headed by DILG City Director, Esther Dator.

Meanwhile, Mayor Beverley Dimacuha assured the continued cooperation of the city of Batangas in the road clearing operation and in other government programs for the welfare of the people.

"Sa pamamagitan ng mga ganitong gawain, nadedevelop ang disiplina na hangad natin na higit pang mapalakas sa pamamagitan ng Eto "Batangueño Disiplinado, Magkatuwang Tayo" program," Mayor said.
