BATANGAS CITY - The Department of Agriculture (DA) CALABARZON provided agricultural equipment to the associations of mangroves in the province of Batangas held at the Provincial Agriculture Office in Brgy. Bolbok in this city recently.
Among those distributed were mini chainsaw, pole pruner, power sprayer, ladder and calcium nitrate or flower inducer as part of DA CALABARZON's High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP).
The Presidents of the organization from Batangas City, Lipa City, San Pascual, Nasugbu, San Jose, Bauan, Agoncillo, Rosario, Taal and Alitagtag personally received the aforementioned agricultural equipment.
The distribution of equipment was led by DA Calabarzon OIC Regional Executive Director Vilma Dimaculangan along with Regional HVCDP Coordinator Redeliza Gruezo, Regional Focal Person for Mango Ruben Perlas, Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer Fidel Libao and Batangas Provincial Agriculturist Dr. Rodrigo Bautista.
Meanwhile, the mangrove organizations in the province expressed their gratitude for the assistance extended to them and its President Mr. Domingo Mercado assured that they will further strengthen and consolidate their organization to be a partner of the agricultural sector in the development of the industry of mangoes in the Province of Batangas.
