IMUS CITY, Cavite - Senator Panfilo Lacson and Senate President Vicente Sotto III announced the start of their campaign for Election 2022 on Monday February 7, 2022, saying they were ready for battle.
Their tandem held a proclamation rally at the Imus Grandstand in Cavite on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. This marks the beginning of the campaign period for candidates running for national seats in the 2022 election.
4,000 supporters and political allies gathered, including several officials from Cavite and neighboring provinces, to declare their support for their candidacies.
Members of their senatorial slate are also expected to attend, including Partido Reform stalwarts former Philippine National Police chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar, Dr. Minguita Padilla, and former Makati Rep. Monsour del Rosario.
Cavite, also known as the 'Land of the Brave,' is the second most vote-rich province in the Philippines with over 2.15 million registered voters.
