MULANAY, Quezon - Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Regional Welfare Office 4A (OWWA RWO 4A) recently held an OWWA CALABARZON on Wheels Program, a caravan that intends to deliver OWWA Programs and Services to remote municipalities in the region, in Mulanay, Quezon.

During the activity, eleven (11) OFW groups under the Tulong Pangkabuhayan para sa Pag-Unlad ng Samahang OFWs (Tulong PUSO), composed of repatriated OFWs and next-of-kin (NOK) of actively onsite OFWs alike who are determined to start a business as the pandemic continues to financially affect them, expressed their desire to be organized for the program's eligibility.

From their DOLE application to be recognized as a Worker's Association down to their Tulong PUSO applications, the eleven (11) groups received Program Orientation and assistance in filling out forms and completing their documentary requirements.

The OWWA RWO 4A Reintegration Unit pledges to promote OFW reintegration programs by enhancing information caravans throughout CALABARZON and even beyond.

These efforts are motivated by an intense passion to provide livelihood assistance to OFWs and their families affected by the COVID19 pandemic, as well as to contribute to the government's effort for national recovery and strengthening OFW integration into Philippine society.

In addition, a dedicated team led a business plan preparation workshop to assist them in tailoring their business plans to their chosen enterprise, particularly the financial aspect, which is the most important in the Tulong PUSO Review Committee's evaluation.

OWWA Region 4A will continue to assist in the formation and organization of groups, not only to assist OFWs in establishing additional sources of income, but also to leave a legacy that will contribute to community development and the country's economic growth. (with reports from OWWA)
