LUCENA CITY - Honeyginger Viceral Ruiz and and Marlene "Ayen" Galit of Art Revolution (Joseh Rata Resort and Restaurant, Ibabang Dupay, Red V, this city) brought together 26 talents in the visual arts for a group show billed as "The Exposure."
The exhibit which opened June 5 will run until June 25.
Artists both Ruiz and Galit enthused that there is a largely untapped wealth of art talents in Quezon, and providing a venue for showcasing their works would bolster their confidence, and open doors to more shows both here and overseas.
"We should encourage further exposure for our (home-grown) artists," they added.
"They came from all walks of life. Some of them have established names, and we also assist lesser-known artists in Quezon because we are convinced that there is a wealth of talent available here in our province," Viceral said.
Galit added that their gallery is honored to host the works of some of our best artists based in Quezon.
The show includes the art installation by Galit called "Acceptance of Faith", and the works of artist Ptr. Ed Pabanil and Tayabasin artist, Dr. John Jerome Luna.
"Bawat pahid ng pintura, every stroke of the brush, isang tuldok, means a lot to an artist," Ruiz said, and added that when a wee spark kindles something in the spirit, an image emerges from the artist's soul, not from a situation or object.
