DOT to boost promotion of barangay Talumpok as potential tourist destination

BATANGAS CITY - Participants and trainers from the Tourist Reception and Guiding Techniques Seminar visited tourist spots in Talumpok, Silangan, on June 15 as part of their three-day training.

It intends to see the beauty and potential of such a location as a tourist destination.



The group first visited the Talumpok Silang Lifestyle center of the couple Zenaida and Robin Willison.

They presented the itinerary of their tour package in case Talumpok tourism continues to open.



They also went to the herb garden, where they were informed of the benefits of each plant planted and Gregoria Hall.

The participants then visited Amatong Falls, which is just one of the waterfalls located in barangay Talumpok Silangan.



They also toured Mt. Banoy, where the last lecture of the guiding tour seminar was held on the view deck.

According to resource speakers from the Department of Tourism (DOT), the potential of such areas, particularly Mt. Banoy, for foreigners by local and foreign tourists.

They need to develop it further, have a proper itinerary and prepare the residents.

The speakers were awarded a certificate of appreciation in gratitude by the city government.

The said tour guiding seminar was managed by the City Tourism Office in collaboration with the barangay council of Talumpok Silangan.
