ALAMINOS, Laguna — Mayor Glenn Flores has announced the plan to provide educational incentives to students from Alaminos who graduated this year and earned high honors.
The Top 1 graduate in elementary school has received P1,000, P2,000 for the Top 1 graduate of Junior and Senior High School, P5,000 for Cum Laude, P10,000 for Magna Cum Laude, and P15,000 for Summa Cum Laude.
The mayor said these incentives are a way for the local government to acknowledge the efforts made by the students.
“Tunay na ang inyong pagsisikap na abutin ang inyong pangarap ay hindi matatawaran. Ito ay simbolo ng pagnanais na makamit ang pagbabagong sa inyong buhay ay siya ninyong inaasam.”
To receive the incentive, the student must present a corresponding document proving that he is a resident of Alaminos; proof that the student has received an honor such as a Certificate of Recognition or a medal; proof of graduation or diploma; copy of report card; and copy of graduation picture (if available). The Mayor’s Office accepted applications on August 5.
