BATANGAS CITY - The Batangas Provincial Government recently designated Mr. and Mrs. Mansueto Camilan's family as the Huwarang Pamilyang Batangueno 2022 at the Regina Mandanas Memorial Dreamzone, Capitol Compound in this city.
The award is part of the National Search for the Natatanging Pamilyang Pilipino, which aims to portray a solid, comfortable, and secure Filipino family. The National Council for the Filipino Family (NCFF) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office IVA launched the event.
Governor Hermilando Mandanas presided over the award with members of the Batangas Provincial Council and witnessed by department heads and staff of the provincial government.
The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office screened nominated Batangueno families from the province's various municipalities a week ago.
The Camilan family will represent the entire region for the regional search after their appointment at the provincial level.
Meanwhile, other contestants received consolation prizes, including Mr. and Mrs. Nicolas Maligo Jr. of High Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Rogelio Talag of Bauan, and Mr. and Mrs. Romeo Maligaya of Batangas City.
Christine Buno of the DSWD-Provincial Operating Officers; Elnora Manalo, President of the Catholic Women's League (CWL); and Thelma Panganiban, a member of the CWL, were some of the jurors.
