VICTORIA, Laguna —The colorful, energetic, and fun 73rd Town Anniversary and 21st Itik Festival of Victoria was a success.

The theme of this year's celebration is "Sumusulong na Victoria, lumalaban kahit pandemya. Makiindak at makisaya sa bayang puno ng Pag-asa"".

Former President Elpidio Quirino issued Executive Order No. 282 on November 15, 1949, identifying Victoria. The town's name is from President Quirino's daughter, Victoria Quirino. Victoria is Laguna's newest town.

The event included drag racing, a Mobile Legend tournament, a motorcade, a fun run, mural painting, and the Mr. and Miss Victoria 2022 pageant.

The Duck Fest Cooking Contest was the highlight of the celebration. The participants competed in cooking various delicious duck recipes.

Crowds gathered for the colorful Street Dancing Competition, in which representatives from each barangay and local government staff competed.

Dwight C. Kampitan, M.D., Mayor of Victoria, thanked the town's residents for their support and solidarity in all activities related to the town's anniversary and the Itik Festival.

According to the mayor, the happiness of the people of Victoria inspires him and the town government to continue implementing good projects that will benefit the townspeople.

Victoria LGU provided food carts and allowed the vendors to be located next to the plaza for free in response to the vendors' requests and to provide them with additional income.
