The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA), led by Ms. Lorna Aviñante, launched the Agri-Entrepreneurs' Day Celebration with the theme, “Negosyong Pinagyaman sa Kanayunan,Tulong sa Ekonomiya ng Bayan” recently at the OPA Compound in Trece Martires City.
Ms. Aviñante was joined by Mr. Joselito Felix Noceda, Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer for Cavite from the Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Field Office CALABARZON, Dr. Nellie Ilas, Chairperson of the Provincial Agriculture and Fishery Council, and Dr. May Magno, Cavite Provincial Veterinarian, who all gave inspirational messages.
Mr. Noceda mentioned the delivery of interventions to people ravaged by Typhoon Paeng, as well as the assistance that they can provide to the attendees in terms of DA accreditation as civil society organization. He then reminded everyone not to give up despite the difficulties and obstacles that come their way.
Meanwhile, Dr. Magno wished a bountiful produce and income for the agriculture sector. She then stated that because of the pandemic, people were able to see more of the importance of agriculture.
The celebration served as an opportunity to highlight variety of goods and produce of farmers, entrepreneurs, and exhibitors from the cities and municipalities of Cavite. Additionally, it highlighted the “Search for PINAKA 2022” that featured farmers’ best product.
Also present in the event was Mr. Alvin S. Mojica, Provincial Administrator for Community Affairs, who visited the booths of the exhibitors.
