PSA Quezon holds CBMS orientation for the year 2024 in Guinayangan

GUINAYANGAN, Quezon - An orientation was conducted here on December 20, 2023 by PSA Quezon to familiarize the residents with the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) for the upcoming year.

This initiative will equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively participate in data collection and analysis, enabling the local government to make informed decisions and develop targeted programs for the community.



During the orientation, PSA Quezon Staff Jerissa Milo explained the importance of CBMS in identifying the needs and priorities of the community. She emphasized that by accurately gathering data on various aspects such as health, education, and employment, the local government can allocate resources efficiently and address the specific concerns of each barangay.

She also break down the initiative need to be accomplished the scheduled implementation of the said CBMS and the steps involved in conducting the survey. This includes training enumerators, coordinating with barangay officials, and ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

Milo highlighted that the successful implementation of CBMS will not only benefit the local government but also empower the community by giving them a voice in decision-making processes and fostering inclusive development.

Guinayangan Mayor Maden Isaac expressed her full support for the CBMS initiative and emphasized the importance of accurate and up-to-date data in guiding local policies and programs. She assured the attendees that her administration would work closely with the CBMS team to ensure the smooth implementation of the program.
