LUCENA CITY, Quezon - Rural healthcare in Quezon province is experiencing a significant boost thanks to TeaM Energy Corporation's generous donation of essential medical equipment to public hospitals. The company's contribution of anesthesia and ECG machines will elevate patient care and has the potential to save numerous lives.

To support the Quezon Provincial Hospital Network - Quezon Medical Center (QPHN-QMC) and other public hospitals across the province, TeaM Energy Corporation provided one anesthesia machine and fifteen digital ECG machines, totaling over seven million pesos in value. This donation empowers these hospitals to offer enhanced care to residents.

"We are deeply grateful to TeaM Energy Corporation for their transformative gift," said Governor Dr. Helen Tan. "These advanced machines directly improve the lives of countless Quezonians and demonstrate the profound impact of prioritizing community health."

Froilan Gregory Romualdez III, External Affairs Head of TeaM Energy Corporation, officially presented the equipment to Governor Tan, QPHN-QMC Chief of Hospital Dr. Juan Eugenio Fidel B. Villanueva, and Provincial Health Officer Dr. Kristin Villaseñor.

TeaM Energy is one of the largest independent power producers in the country with more than 2,000 MW of installed generating capacity nationwide. It operates two coal-fired facilities: the 1,200-MW Sual Power Station in Pangasinan, and the 735-MW Pagbilao Power Station in Quezon. It also has a 50% stake in the 420-MW Pagbilao Unit 3 Power Project in Quezon.

They have a long-standing commitment to supporting healthcare initiatives in the community, and this donation is a testament to their dedication to improving the well-being of Quezonians. The state-of-the-art equipment will enable healthcare providers to deliver high-quality medical services and meet the evolving needs of the residents in Quezon province.

Anesthesia machines are vital for safely administering anesthesia before surgeries and other medical procedures. Digital ECG machines provide essential diagnostic information for evaluating heart health.
