SAN ANDRES, Quezon - The community of Brgy. Pansol is set to benefit from a significant infrastructure upgrade, as the re-concreting of the Poblacion to Sitio Banaba Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) was formally initiated with a groundbreaking ceremony on September 8, 2025. Led by Mayor Ralph Lim, Vice-Mayor Nelson Ausa, and other local officials, marks the start of a project funded by a ₱15 million allocation.
This initiative is a result of a collaborative effort involving Congressman Reynan Arrogancia, the Quezon 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO), and the Department of Agriculture. The road is identified as a critical artery for both residents and the agricultural sector within the community.
In a statement during the ceremony, Mayor Lim highlighted the project's economic implications. "This development is expected to facilitate more efficient and timely transport of agricultural goods to market, potentially reducing costs for our farmers," Lim said.
He also acknowledged the support of collaborating agencies, noting the project as an example of inter-agency cooperation aimed at local development. The Mayor indicated that while the current funding addresses a portion of the road, the local government remains in communication with relevant agencies to secure additional funds for the project's complete realization in the future.
This project is part of a broader government initiative to strengthen rural infrastructure, according to the Mayor, improving key thoroughfares like the FMR is a priority that directly supports the livelihood of local farmers and residents. The completed section of the road is anticipated to enhance connectivity, providing a more reliable and safer passage for vehicles and a direct benefit to the local economy.
