LUCENA CITY, Quezon - Lucena City, the capital of Quezon Province, functions as a major commercial and administrative hub in Southern Luzon, serving as a gateway connecting the Bicol region to Metro Manila. The growing population of over 275,000 residents, alongside local commerce and government sectors, is sharply increasing demand for consistent and quality connectivity.

To meet this critical need, telecommunications provider Globe announced plans to significantly upgrade its network presence within the city. This expansion involves committing to cell site builds and technology enhancements aimed at stabilizing and supporting the shift to digital platforms.

Globe is moving to modernize infrastructure across 48 specific locations in Lucena, optimizing existing facilities for better signal reach and faster data speeds. Such improvements, according to the provider, are necessary to facilitate activities like online learning and efficient business transactions, thereby keeping Lucenahins competitive in the digital economy.

Globe said these crucial connectivity improvements translate directly into a better quality of life for the city's residents and businesses. Entrepreneurs can now reach more customers through e-commerce and streamline operations using online tools, while students and teachers benefit from steady connections for research, assignments, and hybrid classes.

Families will also gain smoother access to essential services like telemedicine and mobile banking, while entertainment from online gaming to streaming will run with fewer disruptions. This increased reliability for both work and play saves valuable time and removes a significant source of daily frustration for households.

To match its stronger signal, the telco said it's offering flexible data promos for every type of user. Prepaid subscribers can turn to Go+ promos for bigger data allowances, while TM customers can make the most of budget-friendly bundles such as Sulit Surf, and postpaid users benefit from GPlan packages designed for reliable, day-long use.

Globe’s Lucena efforts are part of its nationwide expansion program, representing its multi-billion-peso commitment to digital infrastructure. Expanding cell sites and boosting capacity will prepare communities for the future, ensuring the city sustains its growth as one of Southern Luzon's emerging hubs.
