LUCENA CITY, Quezon — Rabies remains a preventable yet deadly threat to both humans and animals across communities. In response, the Province of Quezon, under the leadership of Governor Angelina “Doktora Helen” Tan, joined the recent Nationwide Simultaneous Rabies Vaccination Drive.

Based on consolidated reports, approximately 4,481 dogs and cats were vaccinated during the activity conducted across the province. The initiative is part of continuing work to eliminate rabies and protect both residents and animals from the deadly disease.

In her message, Governor Tan underscored the importance of the campaign and called on residents to support the province’s goal of becoming rabies-free. She emphasized that community participation is key to preventing the spread of rabies and protecting public health.

She also emphasized that the strong turnout and active participation of local government units highlight the importance of working together. This collective effort helps protect public health and ensure community safety.

Sustained vaccination efforts and strong community participation remain key to achieving a rabies-free Quezon. Continued awareness and responsible pet ownership will further strengthen the province’s fight against rabies.
