LakAd-LIKASAN 2026 is set to gather residents and volunteers in Mauban, Quezon for a coordinated clean-up drive on April 22. (MENRO Mauban)

MAUBAN, Quezon — LakAd-LIKASAN 2026 returns in Mauban, Quezon as the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office schedules the activity on April 22, 2026. Set under the theme “Sapagkat Aking Pananagutan, Pangangalaga sa Kalikasan,” the initiative encourages community participation in protecting the environment.

MENRO said the activity will start at 6:00 a.m. in San Lorenzo, where assembly and initial program activities will be held before the clean-up drive begins. The starting point will serve as the staging area for participants before they are assigned to different sections.



Specific areas including San Lorenzo Bypass Road, Soledad, and Lual Bo. will be covered through coordinated clean-up drives and environmental activities. The route will end in Lual Bo., where the closing program and demonstration activities are scheduled to take place.

Volunteers will engage in waste collection, proper segregation, and awareness efforts aimed at promoting sustainable practices in the community. Included in the activity are organized clean-up operations, sharing of information on proper waste management, and a photography session with a designated event backdrop.

Local officials including Mayor Ninong Erwin Pastrana, Vice Mayor Alween Sardea, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Mauban are expected to attend and take part in the activity. They expressed support for the initiative as part of ongoing efforts to keep communities clean and safe.

MENRO said the event aims to raise awareness among residents on the importance of environmental protection and proper waste management practices. The activity also highlights the shared role of the community in caring for the town’s surroundings.

MENRO has called on all residents of Mauban to participate in the activity and contribute to ongoing environmental protection efforts in the municipality. Open to the public, the activity will be held on April 22, 2026.
