MAUBAN, Quezon - Cleanliness remains a priority in Mauban this Holy Week as the local government prepares for the influx of devotees across the municipality. Ongoing clearing and cleaning operations are being carried out along major roads to ensure that public spaces remain clean and easy to pass through during peak religious activities.

The observance draws large numbers of residents and visitors who take part in processions and other religious traditions across several barangays in the municipality. This yearly increase in people places added pressure on roads, public spaces, and waterways throughout Mauban.

In response, local authorities have strengthened coordination among offices to manage both environmental conditions and the movement of people during the week. The effort also supports the orderly flow of processions and minimizes possible disruptions in crowded areas.

Personnel from the Municipal Engineering Office, led by Engr. Aldrine M. Palicpic with Foreman Lucky Ogie Sol, continued clearing and cleaning operations along identified major roads used for religious activities. Teams were deployed in shifts to cover multiple locations and sustain operations throughout the week.

The activity covered Barangays Lual Poblacion, Mabato, Daungan, Sadsaran, and Rizaliana, including nearby creeks and drainage systems within these areas. Additional attention was given to sections along major roads that are prone to waste buildup and water obstruction to maintain safe passage.

During the operations, road workers removed different types of waste materials and obstructions found along major roads and nearby waterways across the municipality. Collected waste was gathered and disposed of properly to prevent reaccumulation and maintain cleanliness.

The initiative also called on residents to take part in sustaining these efforts within their respective communities during the observance. Officials encouraged proper waste disposal and shared responsibility in keeping major roads and public spaces clean and orderly.
