LOPEZ, Quezon - Around 500 Lopezeños received free healthcare services during a medical mission on May 19 held in Lopez, Quezon. Doctors, nurses, and volunteers brought free medical assistance through the outreach activity organized by Lifebank Foundation, Inc., Reseta, and the Municipal Health Office.

Many of those who attended the activity came from different barangays across the municipality. Healthcare workers attended to patients throughout the mission and assisted those needing medical treatment.

The mission offered free checkups, medicines, and basic healthcare services during the activity. Patients also received medical advice and health assessments for common illnesses and concerns.

Records from the Municipal Health Office showed that around 500 individuals received free services during the activity. Free medicines were also given to patients after consultations and routine medical checkups.

The local government said the medical mission continues efforts to bring healthcare services closer to communities. It added that private groups help improve healthcare programs and services across the municipality.

Healthcare workers said many patients sought treatment for cough, fever, body pain, and flu symptoms. Some patients also consulted doctors regarding illnesses needing regular treatment and monitoring.

The medical mission forms part of the municipality’s continuing healthcare programs in Lopez. Local authorities said the initiative helps bring medical services closer to underserved barangays and communities.

Lopez Mayor Sonny Ubana II said the municipal government continues supporting programs that improve access to healthcare services. The local government added that community-based medical activities remain part of its public health agenda for Lopezeños.
