DAVAO CITY (PIA)- The public is warned of people posing as Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, Secretary Jose Ruperto Martin Andanar and other high government officials who are soliciting money for various purposes.
They are impostors and these unscrupulous individuals have been using the mobile phone number 0917-3529144 to ask money from persons, private companies and government offices.
The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) has urged the public to report any form of communications from these individuals. The public asked to verify the authenticity of the messages through the PCO through the office secretary at (02-733-3538) or the concerned departments.
The public is also advised that government officials and employees are strictly prohibited from soliciting money as it will fall under Republic Act 6713 (Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees) and RA 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act. (PIA/RG Alama)
