LUCENA CITY, Quezon, March 9 (PIA) --The Commission on Election (COMELEC) Lucena City held a special satellite voters registration last March 7 at the Quezon Medical Center (QMC) in support to observance of the National Women’s Day, yesterday, March 8. The activity is also part of the of the National Women’s Month Celebration this March with the theme “We Make Change Work for Women.”
COMELEC Lucena City acting Election Officer Julian Rodelas said the satellite registration also aimed to help patients, clients, nurses and doctors of the QMC by providing a venue, a chance or enough time to register in preparation for the October 23, 2017 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.
“Sanggunian Kabataan members who are 15 years old on or before October 23, 2017 and those voters who are transferees, with deactivated records and corrections of data should also register,” Rodelas added.
Aside from the special satellite registration on National Women’s Day, COMELEC Lucena City has also scheduled several satellite registrations at the following barangays in the city: March 9, 2017- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM – Barangay 10 Poblacion barangay hall March 10-11, 2017- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM – Barangay Cotta barangay hall March 15-16, 2017 – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM – Barangay Ibabang Dupay barangay hall March 17- 18, 2017- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM – Barangay Mayao Silangan barangay hall March 20-21, 2017 – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM - Barangay Dalahican at Lucena Dalahican National High School March 25, 2017 – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM - Barangay Ilayang Iyam barangay hall March 28-29, 2017 – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM - Barangay Ibabang Talim barangay hall April 1, 2017- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM- Barangay Ibabang Talim barangay hall April 7-8, 2017- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM – Barangay Isabang barangay hall Prior to these, the COMELEC Lucena City has conducted satellite voters registration in several barangays in Lucena City, according to Rodelas.
