Mayor Roderick “Dondon” Alcala publicly thanked again the members of Lucena PNP headed by OIC Police Superintendent Arturo “Art” Brual for their anti-drug campaign completing the activities under Oplan Tokhang and Taphang and taking a more active role in the fight against illegal drugs in the City.
Alcala commended the Lucena PNP for their continuous efforts and waging war against illegal drugs under Oplan Tokhang and Taphang and now Project Double Barrel Reloaded.
This also became possible because of the many who have participated in the said illegal drug operation with the cooperation of ABC President Manuel “Boy” Jaca together with the 33 barangay Chairmen of Lucena City.
Alcala lauded the local police during a flag-raising ceremony of the City Government on Monday hosted by the BJMP for taking a more active role in the fight against illegal drugs and also maintaining peace and order in the city.
PNP Lucena has also been active in the barangays reminding them of the crime prevention tips and raising awareness by teaching them how drugs affect their body, family relationships, finances, friends, neighbors, properties, and the lives of other people.
The Mayor also said a drug-free Lucena has always been his goal and turn it into a safe place to live in.” And by staying drug-free we need our police. If we have lower crime Lucena City will not only be a Mega City but also will have a healthy, safe, strong, drug-free, crime-free, violence-free future.”, Alcala stated.
