Lucena City - Lucena City Agriculturist Mellisa Letargo urges the public to visit the Baraka Display and buy organic products harvested by farmers.“Kayo po ay inaanyayahan ko na pumunta at bumisita sa Baraka Display ng mga magsasaka na gumgamit ng organikong pamamaraan at bumili ng kanilang produkto”. Letargo said as she addressed all Lucenahin to patronize these organic products.

Letargo pointed out that the market days when these organi products are on sale are Fridays and Saturdays every week.

The Baraka Display is located on the right side of the rotunda along the Eco-tourism road , Barangay Isabang in this booming city of Lucena.

Letargo stressed that the city Agriculturist Office aims to help farmers plant and grow fruits and vegetables through the natural or organic method.

She also said that putting up the Baraka Display is a very good start for the farmers to have one common place where to sell their organic products.

The Baraka Display came to being through the concerted efforts and cooperation of all the members of Mesikap Farmers, an organization of farmers making use of the organic farming, headed by Glicerio Manzano and Engineer Bonifacio “Boner” Seguit of the MJD Farms.

Also the Baraka Display Aims to instil awareness to the public, the people of Lucena City and nearby towns, of the value of organic products to healthful living, and thus, patronize them. In such a way, they are assured of nutritious and healthy food products such as vegetables and fruits, and at the same time, they help farmers earn more by buying their products.
