PSA Quezon holds stakeholders forum on the 2016 ASPBI

LUCENA CITY, Quezon - Around 47 representatives from various business and industry establishments including media practitioners participated in the stakeholders forum on the 2016 annual survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) held on June 8, 2017 at Quezon Premier Hotel, this city. Provincial Statistics Officer Airene Pucyutan said the forum aims to provide target respondents a broader perspective and better appreciation of the ASPBI. PSO Pucyutan also acknowledged the participation and support of business establishment owners who were presented by their production/operations managers, administrative heads, bookkeepers and accountants.

She also explained that the ASPBI provides measures on the key levels, structure, performance and trends of businesses and industries that will be used for planning and policy formulation by the government and private sectors.

The establishments that participated in the forum came from the industry sectors such as agriculture, forestry and fishing business and services; wholesale and retail trade; mining and quarrying; manufacturing; financial insurance activities ; information and communication; human health and social activities.

A total of 260 sample establishments for Quezon province are expected in these surveys. During the forum, Normita Pagkatipunan of PSA-Quezon reported the results of the 2014 ASPBI while the results of the 2014 survey on tourism establishments of the Philippine was presented by Roberto Ramos. Meanwhile the discussion on the overview of the 2016 ASBI was done by Liwayway A. Rebualos. A press conference was also conducted after the forum. (Ruel Orinday,PIA-Quezon with reports from R.
