Camp Guillermo Nakar, Lucena City- A joint AFP-PNP Law Enforcement Operations conducted by the combined troops of 85IB and San Andres MPS at So Arumahin, Brgy Talisay, San Andres, Quezon resulted to the arrest of Rolando Carandang aka Michael at around 11PM September 26, 2017. Carandang is wanted for double murder and multiple attempted murder charges. He is also the former platoon leader of the Komiteng Sangay sa Platun (KSPn) “Berto” of Guerrila Front (GF) 41 sowing fear in central Quezon, Province.
MGen Benjamin R Madrigal Jr., Commander Southern Luzon Command, lauded the troops for the successful joint law enforcement operation. He said, “The support of the Local Government Units and the community were the key factors in the success of the said joint law enforcement operation. The arrested person will be brought to jail and he will face the charges filed against him in the proper court.”
Further, he said that the SOLCOM will continue to perform its mandate to protect the community and encourages the people to remain vigilant and report to the authorities the presence of any lawless elements in their area.”
