PSSupt Rhoderick C Armamento, Provincial Director Quezon PPO led the turned-over of SWAT equipment held at Quezon PPO Conference Room, Camp G Nakar Lucena City. The newly donated SWAT equipment will help greatly as additional tool to enhance QPPO SWAT capabilities to become more confident and proficient SWAT personnel who will perform high risk operations particularly in urban warfare.

LUNGSOD NG LUCENA, Quezon – Nagsipagtapos kamakailan ang humigit limampung miyembro ng Special Weapons and Tactics-QPPOSWAT na sumailalim sa matinding training ng ilang buwan.

Ayon kay P/S Supt. Rhoderick Armamento, Quezon Prov. Police Director ang mga bagong meyembro ng QPPO – SWAT ay sinanay sa lahat ng uri ng pakikipaglaban sa mga kriminal kasama na dito ang anti-terrorism bilang paghahanda sa mga darating na hamon ng mga terorista sa lalawigan. Sinabi pa ni PD Armamento na ang QPPO-SWAT ay bahagi na ng kasaysayan ng Quezon Police Provincial Office at ito umano ay batay sa konsepto ng Serbisyong Quezon Police na palalakasin ang kakayanan ng kapulisan sa lalawigan.

Nanduroon sa nasabing okasyon sina P/Supt. Laudemer N. Llanet-DPDO, P/Supt. June Orriquia-DPD A-QPPO,P/C Insp. Ludivico A. Cordova-ATM- RSTU-4A at si Provincial Administrator Romel Edaño na siyang kinatawan ni Gov. David Jayjay Suarez. Nagibigay ng

mahalagang mensahe sa mga nagsipagtapos itong BGEN. Ernesto V. Ravena Jr. ang kasalukuyang Deputy Commander ng SOLCOM.

Sa mensahe ay sinabi ni BGen. Ravena na “At last the day has come for you to be among the elite members of the PNP SWAT. Aside from your basic training as policemen, this training has improved your skills in specialized areas such as hostage negotiation and counter terrorism in urban areas”. Ayon pa kay BGEN. Ravena, “with current treat of terrorism, units like yours become more relevant specially in our urban area. You are now one among those skilled individuals that our country needs to fight terrorism and maintain or restore peace in our nation, that is why you should stand proud as your wear those SWAT BADGE, because you are among the elite personnel of the Philippine National Police”. Sag pagpapatuloy ay winika pa ni BGEN.

Ravena na “SWAT is Special Weapon and Training. You are special because in the selection alone, not all police applicants can qualify. Even as you graduate, not all police applicants graduate. The weapons and tools you have are also specialized equipment, so not every policemen can be issued such equipment. The training you received is specialized training in weapons, sniping, marksmanship, explosives, hostage negotiation, among others. SWAT is used in special situations and the badge you wear displays not only your training, but an oath that you are willing to go against a stronger enemy. Therefore, you should not rest on your laurels for always there is still room for improvement. Your training as SWAT member has just begun because everyday is training day”. At sa huli ay sinabi ng Deputy Commander ng SOLCOM na “Today you must celebrate as you have triumphantly survived the rigors of your training. Congratulations!!”

Samantala, sinabi PD Armemento na ang SWAT ay bahagi ng holistic approach ng QPPO, aniya nagtalaga siya ng pulis sa mga strategic location sa lalawigan upang siguruhin mabilis ang aksyon ng kapulisan kung saan may banta sa kapayapaan at kaligtasan ng mamamayan, sa lalawigan. Ito rin ikanya ay pagtugon sa mga utos ni Police Regional Director Ma. O Aplasca na kailangang patatagin ang pwersa ng kapulisan sa lalawigan at sa rehiyon.
