The Social Security System (SSS) Visayas operations group here recognized its partners during the 2018 Balikat ng Bayan Employer Awards ceremony held at Planta Hotel, this city.
Top employer award for small account category went to Jemrons Agro-Industrial Corp. and to Zayco Land Resorts Inc. for the medium account category.
Best media partner in the national level went to Watchmen Daily Journal while DYRL-Abyan Radyo was named best media partner for the division level radio category.
Philrice Negros Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative Inc. is the best Local Government Unit under the KaltaSSS-Collection Program while Bayad Center was awarded as a collecting partner agency.
Jemrons Agro-Industrial Corp. president Rufino Oscar Sabino, in his acceptance speech, said their company consistently pay their employees’ SSS contributions because they want their employees to be taken care of.
He said he wants his children to do the same to their employees too, someday. Zaycoland Resort Inc. general manager Raili Tronco said their company is now 10 years in operation and the award will encourage to make them more responsible employer. In her speech, senior vice president Helen Solito of the Visayas operation group said the giving of awards highlights this year’s 60th anniversary of the SSS.
The state insurance now has 36 million members with 977,000 employers and 2.6 million pensioners.
She said SSS could not have accomplished enough without the support of its partners. It pays P16 billion a month for a pension that is why the company has to earn more to sustain its needs. For every peso a member contributes, P6 goes back to them making SSS the cheapest insurance in the country, she pointed out. (JBG/Lljr-PIA6)
