SAN FRANCISCO, Quezon - A sixteen year-old pretty girl was mauled and sexually assaulted by her own god father inside her home at Sitio Tabunan, Brgy. Nasalaan, here, on Saturday.
The girl, a grade 10 pupil who is now under the care of Municipal Social Welfare Office almost sufferred trauma after the assault, said Senior Insp. Lope Liwanag, the town police commander.
Liwanag said the incident happened at 9:00 p.m. while the victim, who lives with her four younger siblings and a cousin in her house was sleeping inside the bedroom.
Quoting the victim’s account, Liwanag said the victim was awakened by the suspect, a trader and her god father, who quickly covered her mouth by his hand before rapping it with packaging tape.
“When the victim resisted, the suspect quickly punched her stomach and legs several times making her feel so weak”, said Liwanag over the phone.
Not yet contented, Liwanag said the suspect even tied the victim’s hands and feet to prevent her from creating noise as her siblings and cousin were asleep a meter from her. He said the suspect then started kissing the victim’s lips and breasts and touching her private parts before inserting his finger on the latter’s sex organ.
However, the victim’s cousin was awakened by noise prompting the suspect to escape. After being informed of the incident, Liwanag said he immediately dispatched police operatives who eventually collared the suspect.He said the suspect who is now detained at the municipal custodial facility and will be charged with rape.
The suspect, when arrested denied the charges but told probers that he is willing to have it settled.
