The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has proclaimed that students will be entitled to travel select train lines for free from Monday to Friday (except holidays), and during select hours of the day.
This free student privilege started on July 1, 2019. They will need to register at this link to get your student pass, the DOTr says.
Below our DOTr’s guidelines:
Completely fill out the application form. Applications with incomplete details will not be processed.
Please wait for the advice of the DOTr through your registered email when your Student Pass is ready for pickup. Please bring reference documentation when claiming your Student Pass.
All the personal information provided in this form are freely given with consent as evidenced by the uploading of the applicant’s photo ID and signature, and in pursuant to the provisions of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 or Republic Act 10713.
The free rides for students began on July 1, 2019, Monday. Students may avail themselves of this at all MRT-3, LRT-2, and PNR stations.
