LUCENA CITY - A suspected drug pusher was killed while 190 persons were arrested in a 3- day implementation of Simultaneous Anti- Criminality and Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) by the Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO).
Quezon police director, Col. Audie Medrideo said 166 police operations were carried out during the 3- day SACLEO from September 21 to 23.
He said among its results is the death of fisherman Ricardo Delos Reyes Villarante, 54, a resident of Purok 7 Sta Teresa, Brgy Dalahican, this city after he resisted during a drug buy- bust that led to a bloody shootout.
Within the period, Madrideo said they arrested 38 drug suspects and seized 37.27 grams shabu with Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value ₱68,949.50 and confiscation of 2,435.4 grams of marijuana worth ₱133,947.00.
He said 85 wanted persons, two of them belong to Provincial Level Most Wanted and eight to Municipal/City level, were nabbed.
For violations of R.A.10591(Conprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunitions, he said nine persons were arrested while eight fitearms were seized.
Madrideo said they also accounted 20 suspects in illegal gambling, 20 in illegal fishing, 4 in illegal logging, 10 for violation of R.A. 8048 and 11 for violating municipal ordinances.
