Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo says the entry ban on Philippines officials visiting the US is true: I was talking to Philippines Ambassador to US Babes Romualdez. Sinasabi niyang, chi-neck daw nila ‘yong batas, meron nga daw. Totoo ‘yong ban.

I don't get the point why so much publicity is being made for this US-Banning-Who, are they suggesting to honor foreign judgment over our judicial system? Who wants to go to the U.S. by the way? The land the brave "kuno" but are racists and rife of racial discrimination?

Why take so much time for this? I am not bothered! I am deeply bothered more by what the current government is doing, plans to do and where are they heading?

This is not to defend Panelo or De Lima. Panelo has NO choice but defends his boss even to the extent of telling lies or fake news. Of course, or he will be back in the streets defending the guilty in court. I don’t like De Lima, but it would be unfair if I don’t defend her rights as a woman against the majority’s blatant misogyny.

US Senator Patrick Leahy said in a statement issued Saturday (US time): Rather than responding by irrationally threatening to deny visas to American citizens, the President Rodrigo Duterte government should either release Senator De Lima immediately or provide her the fair, public trial she is entitled to.

I agree with you there, Senator Leahy. But please understand the justice system in the Philippines is so bad that people resort to ‘Tulfo Justice’ and it’s disgusting as *uck. Injustices for all. Justice only serves and applies when you have the money and power just like Marcos, Arroys, Duterte, Sanches, Ampatuan, Revilla, Estrada, Aquino and to all the thieving politicians and influential who escaped.

Leila de Lima, 60, used to be captured in February 2017. She was at one time the previous secretary of justice under Duterte’s predecessor, Benigno Aquino III, and has been a vocal rival of extrajudicial killings that have happened for the span of Duterte's drug war. The Muntinlupa City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 204 arranged the capture of Senator Leila de Lima on February 23, 2017, more than one of three criminal charges documented against her. The cases originated from her supposed link to the drug exchange in the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) when she was a justice chief.

A US Senate board has authorized a change to a transfer that would deny entry to those involved in the detainment of Philippine opposition Senator Leila de Lima. US Senators Richard Durbin (Illinois) and Patrick Leahy (Vermont) had pushed for the proposed amendment in the 2020 national and abroad task allocations relegation handled through the US Senate allotments council.

According to Rappler, the provision says: The US Senate's rare move to take action was included in the bill's general provisions. Specifically, the section "Prohibition on Entry" said the US Secretary of State "shall apply subsection (c) to foreign government officials about whom the Secretary has credible information have been involved in the wrongful imprisonment of.... Senator Leila de Lima who was arrested in the Philippines in 2017." The provision also called for the same action against officials of the Egyptian government for the "wrongful detention" of an American citizen and government officials of Turkey, Egypt, or Saudi Arabia over "wrongful detention of locally employed staff of a U.S. diplomatic mission or a U.S. citizen or national." According to US Senator Lindsey Graham, chair of the Senate State and foreign operations appropriations subcommittee, the state and foreign operations appropriations bill "provides funding to strengthen federal programs and operations that support national security and American values abroad." The bill also seeks to fund "critical diplomatic and development efforts worldwide, provide security assistance for our allies around the globe, and support life-saving humanitarian and health assistance to people in crises."

"Senator Leila de Lima has bravely defended human rights throughout her career. We should defend hers," Leahy tweeted in October.

Well, I am not sure about that, Senator De Lima is being trialed due to her engagement to the illegal drug trade in the Philippines. Also, she is not the epitome of human rights. She is even a homewrecker by having an affair with her driver. REAL TALK.

Sorry, but I cannot understand what the nervous reactions are all about. So let us not just allow them to bully us. But free Senator De Lima. Back Maria Ressa. Do something meaningful. Is that such a big deal? And here I thought, they hated beings called TUTA-NG-KANO. It would be very difficult for the crowd now to change their narrative from “TUTA-NG-CHINA” back to “TUTA-NG-KANO” after a series of news articles depicting Duterte’s preference towards embracing the US military’s role in the country’s defense. Citizens' eye is now open.

Those people who will be banned have a big interest in the USA like to go shopping there, give birth there, buy properties there, etc. The US is no longer a place to be. There's nothing there except the fantasy land of Snow White and Cinderella. The best tourist destinations now are the Asian countries. Why fret over the ban.

I don't blame the ordinary DDS because they are just not fully informed and less educated, It is the corrupt bloggers and Facebook influencers who exploited them who are "pinapasahod ng gobyerno" by million pesos, and on the payroll by the corrupt billionaire politicians.

President Duterte has ordered an entry ban on American Senators Richard Durbin and Patrick Leahy to the Philippines, presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo said Friday.

Funny, do you think those senators are interested to come to the Philippines or Philippines is the only country where the Americans can go? Who’s the idiotic idea is that? The Philippines is not the only country in South East Asia! Do not think without the Philippines, the USA will lose the sea lane, with or without any country, they have the 7th fleet. Yes, our political affairs have been a long part of their economic and military interests.

My only concern is the Filipino in America. It’s been idiotic not requiring a visa to a country who's been giving Filipinos a hard time acquiring one. It’s like winning a lottery for a Filipino to get a US visa, dang! Yes, America is the not only place we can go, but please it’s about time not to be stupid!
