PBGEN DANAO JR presided the turn-over of Office symbol, property, and equipment inventory book to the incoming Provincial PCOL PETALIO II assisted by PEMS Ferdinand Larrosa, PESPO, and NUP Edgar Sarabia, PSAO.


Kampo Heneral Paciano Rizal – Police Colonel (PCOL) SERAFIN FORTUNO PETALIO II assumed post as the newly installed Acting Provincial Director (APD) of Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) during the Laguna PPO ceremonial turn-over of command today, February 26, 2020, at the covered court of Kampo Heneral Paciano Rizal in Sta Cruz, Laguna.

This ceremony was graced by the guest of honor and speaker Police Brigadier General (PBGEN) VICENTE DUPA DANAO JR, RD, PRO-4A, who was warmly welcomed by PCOL ELEAZAR P MATTA, outgoing PD, Laguna PPO.

The ceremony started with a prayer led by Pastor Gerard Bejusano at 10:00 a.m.

PBGEN DANAO JR presented the awards to the outgoing Provincial Director PCOL MATTA then reading of termination and designation orders PLTCOL BYRON T TABERNILLA, Acting Chief, Regional Personnel Records Management Division (RPRMD).

In his relinquishment message, PCOL MATTA expressed his gratitude for having been supported in his leadership as the Provincial Director of the Provincial Office by the people in the Province and the men and women of Laguna PPO.

Medalya ng Kasanayan or PNP Efficiency Medal for his meritorious and invaluable services rendered as the Provincial Director of Laguna PPO from October 16, 2018, to February 26, 2020, in his full capacity and competent leadership and commitment to sworn duty and in proficiently administering the Office by enhancing the operational and administrative capabilities of his personnel as well his Unit’s skills to be able to sustain and cope with the high demand of law enforcement and peace-keeping mission of the Philippine National Police.

A memento was also given to the outgoing Provincial Director PCOL MATTA.

Also, the Provincial Governor Hon. Ramil L Hernandez attended the event and rendered his message.

PCOL PETALIO II said in his assumption message, “I take the pride to continue serving the people of Laguna. I wish to point the unbending adherence to the tradition of courage, loyalty, and patriotism in the conduct of duty to keep faith with the people whom we serve. As law enforcers, we should always take into consideration and bear in mind the mission and vision of PNP including the call of the President to end local communist armed conflict and the call of the Chief, PNP for internal cleansing and the latest guidance on the policy campaign to clear the PNP force from scalawags.

“Ang tanggapan ng pulisya ay lagging bukas at malugod na handang maglingkod lalong lao na sa lahat ng bagay na may kaugnayan sa kapayapaan at kaayusan ng lalawigan na ito. I want to turn our Police Office to be a model instrument with which to implement the will and goals of the police service and be able to accomplish our mission with efficiency, authority, impartiality, and dedication.” PCOL PETALIO added.

In his message, PBGEN DANAO JR said, “I challenge the newly installed Provincial Director to do or be better than his predecessor, both in operational and administrative accomplishments.”
