LUCENA, CITY - Just recently, in a virtual meeting the Committee on Sustainable Development Goals (CSDG) successfully passed House Resolution No. 856, the main author of which is ALONA Party-List Rep. Anna Villaraza-Suarez.

According to United Nations Philippines the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.





The meeting was chaired by Rep. Khalid Dimaporo and the resolution passed under SDG Goal 4, which seeks to ensure quality education for young people.

Some of the participants in the virtual meeting were Rep. David "Jayjay" C. Suarez, Department of Heath Usec. Nepomuceno Malaluan, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner Aldrin A. Darilag, ACT Teachers Party-list Rep. France Castro, Philippine Broadcasters Association (KBP) Executive Director Rey Hulog and Muntinlupa Representative Ruffy Biazon.



HR 856 aims to allow all private and public broadcasting networks in the Philippines to devote three hours or more to broadcasting 'educational services' on television. Rep. Anna sees a significant need to pursue the education of young people in different fields amid the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the pandemic is not an obstacle to the distribution of assistance from ALONA Party-list Rep. Anna to citizens seriously impacted by Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). With the support of the local government, they have been able to administer assistance to people living in different towns in the province of Quezon since the start of the pandemic.





And to continue providing services, on August 11, Rep. Anna, in partnership with local governments in Quezon, make the ALONA Party-list Multipurpose and Livelihood Training Centers temporary quarantine facilities.

"Isang taon na po ang nakalipas mula ng muli ninyong pinagkatiwalaan ang ALONA Partylist sa pangunguna ni Congw. Anna Villaraza-Suarez na kayo’y pagsilbihan. Kasabay ng hangarin nating maiahon sa kahirapan ang ating mga mamamayan ay nagkaloob ang ALONA Partylist ng mga Multi-Purpose and Livelihood Training Centers sa iba’t-ibang bayan dito sa ating lalawigan." Rep. Anna said.

ALONA Party-list wants everyone to be helped during this time so Rep. Anna Continues to provide services so that even in a small way she can deliver help to her constituents.

According to the ALONA Party-list Rep. Anna, this pandemic can be overcome through cooperation and unity. She said the Suarez Service and the ALONA Party-list service will continue to fulfill our goal of raising the Filipino family.
