GENERAL LUNA, Quezon - Municipal Mayor Matt Florido and R. Abalos Corporation have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on July 29, 2020, in this town to start the Hydro/Feasibility Study for public irrigation in General Luna, Quezon.
It is estimated that the investment of the said town will be up to PHP 90M. The price per cubic of water is Php 25.00 in their offer to the Sangguniang Bayan.
Last July 13, 2020, a meeting was conducted in Sangguniang Bayan of General Luna, Quezon, led by Mayor Matt, with JE-Hydro, Bio-Energy Corporation, and R. Abalos Corporation for the approximately 90M Water System Project to be carried out in this town for the smooth flow of water through construction-operated-transfer or BOT.
"Ang investor ang siyang gagastos at magpapatayo ng mga pasilidad at siyang magsisiguro na 24 hours ang daloy ng tubig sa bawat tahanan. Bahagi ng kasunduan na 20 years nilang papamahalaan ang ating patubig at pagkalipas ng 20 taon, lahat ng pasilidad, mga kagamitan ay ililipat na sa pag aari ng ating lokal na pamahalaan." Mayor Florido said during the meeting.
According to Mayor Matt's Facebook post, this is the first step towards achieving his dream of a 24/7 safe and clean drinking water flow for the residents of General Luna.
Following the Hydro/Feasibility Study, the project proposal will be considered and re-signed in the agreement to continue the project.
He said that his fellow men would have only a little time to spare. It is estimated that up to 90 million of its investments will not be made at the expense of the people 's government, "Para sa inyo po ang lahat ng ito."
