Quezon Rep. Angelina “Helen” Tan

LUCENA CITY - A female Quezon solon vowed to intensify her vaccination and other health programs as the province returned to General Community Quarantine (GCQ) status.

Quezon Rep. Angelina “Helen” Tan, a physician and registered nurse by profession and chairman of the House Committee on Health, said with the increasing Covid-19 cases in the province, the more she needs to continue her health programs, especially the massive anti- flu and -pneumonia vaccination.

“With the present situation in this province, I believe that is what I exactly need to do,” Tan said.

Quezon province was reverted to GCQ from Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) status effective yesterday due to widespread community transmission of the deadly virus in its towns and cities.

As of 4 p.m. yesterday, Quezon has 664 cases, with 298 recoveries; 21 deaths, and 344 active cases.

Aside from distribution of free medicine and consultation, the female lawmaker has been doing free vaccination to frontliners, senior citizens and children, vendors and drivers and local government employees under “Serbisyong Tunay At Natural” program.
