During the homecoming ceremony, PNP Chief Eleazar was joined by his loving wife Lani Eleazar, Municipal Mayor Carlo Eleazar, elder brother of the PNP chief, Congresswoman Angelina "Helen" Tan of the Fourth District of Quezon Province, and other town government chiefs.

Following his speech, the PNP Chief Eleazar paid a visit to the tomb of his late father, Victor Eleazar, a World War II guerrilla fighter whose birthday happens to coincide with the PNP Chief's homecoming visit.

He also inspected the PNP Maritime Group detachment and the Tagkawayan Municipal Police Station.

Before his new stint, Eleazar served as the PNP deputy chief for administration.

Hailed from a quaint town in Quezon Province, the PNP chief rose from the ranks as a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) ‘Hinirang’ class of 1987 to become the 26th Chief of the PNP.

Eleazar belongs to the Philippine Military Academy “Hinirang” Class of 1987.

Eleazar also served as chief of the PNP Directorial Staff.

He also became the director of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), the Quezon City Police District, and the Police Regional Office 4-A (Calabarzon).

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) said the crime rate in Metro Manila went down when PNP Chief Eleazar assumed the NCRPO directorship.

PNP Chief Eleazar gained popularity for imposing strict discipline on policemen when he was Metro Manila’s top cop, punishing erring cops, and rewarding cops who made the police organization proud.

PNP Chief Eleazar issued directives to all police units for the strict and systematic implementation of the Intensified Cleanliness Policy which ensures continuity of reforms in the organization and the bridging of gaps for closer ties with the community.

PNP Chief Eleazar vows to clean up PNP. He first focused on the internal cleansing of the PNP, his management leadership style is excellent and can be implemented all throughout the country so that the crime rate in the Philippines will decrease.
